Print your memories on canvas to enhance and decorate. Or print your own photographs to archival, photo paper. We can even enhance your prints to give them a professional look. Sketch effects and printing on canvas will hide a multitude of sins in the original and produce a unique artwork. Canvas Mounting and FramingYour canvas can be printed for conventional framing, or printed with for stretching onto a thin 15mm or thick 40mm wooden box frame. Images over with any dimension over 1m require the thicker frame. This gives a great galley feel, and also provides a generally cheaper framing solution. You need to allow a 50mm border all around to ‘wrap’ the canvas around the frame. If there is part of the image you wish to keep from ‘wrapping’ (e.g. a hand) we can suggest two effective options to do this and achieve the ‘wrapped’ look of the canvas. Canvas Print QualityWe use only genuine artist quality canvas with archival pigment ink. The other reason we boast of world class quality in digital canvas prints from photo is that we image straight out of Photoshop in RGB (no RIP and no CMYK colour conversion which flattens the colour). Note: It is sometimes worthwhile spending a little bit more to enhance your image. Adding an artistic effect and printing on canvas will hide a multitude of sins in the original and produce a unique artwork. Finishing Options Styles
Black and White, Sepia toned, Duo-tone coloured, Sketch effects and Partial colourisation can work particularly well when several images need to be placed together, but the original full-colour images do not complement each other. If the original image is small and incapable of being enlarged and kept sharp; adding an artistic or sketch effect and printing on canvas will hide a multitude of sins in the original and produce a unique artwork. |
Photo WrapOur standard finish. The image is made larger and the edges wrap around the frame. This is the most effective way of framing the print, but care needs to be taken that important parts of the image are not wrapped around the edge.
Mirror WrapIf the image has some background landscape available, i.e. there is a background image that we can use 40mm in from the edge of the front canvas, we "mirror" that as the wrap so it looks like a continuation of the front image.
Colour WrapWe take a dominant colour from the face of the image and fill the wrap. This is particularly useful for smaller canvases. Or, if you have a specific colour in mind, just let us know. |
